  Argentina

Argentina may be known for the gauchos and the tango. But its natural wonders that range from deserts to valleys, from tropical jungle and the magnificent Iguazú falls to the Andean cordillera, may be its primary attractions.

The European influence can be seen in art, architecture and lifestyle. A great percentage of the population is of European origin and this is why many travelers feel at ease and travel relatively inconspicuously.
The country comprises five major regions with a climate that ranges from subtropical to cold.

Argentina’s colloquial Spanish is more relaxed and dynamic than the mother tongue since it constantly adapts to contemporary needs- rather like American English when compared to British English.

  Buenos Aires

Known as the most European city in Latin America, Buenos Aires combines old world style, a charming individual personality and the nostalgia of Tango. The pleasure of Buenos Aires lingers with those who have experienced it.

Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina is located on the Right Bank of the Río de la Plata. More European than South American in flavor, Buenos Aires’ heart boasts bustling streets, grand avenues, old-time cafés and stylish restaurants. The city is characterized by the multiplicity of its artistic expressions, ranging from the great assortment of sculptures and monuments to streets and corners that surprise the visitor. The locals are renowned for their flair and cockiness, even in times of adversity. It’s a city of tragedy and elation, a vibrant, cosmopolitan capital.

This sophisticated capital has always been famous for its incredible cultural offer. Museums, cinemas, theatres and shows provide an unlimited variety of options for entertainment. Dramas, musical comedies, “teatro de revista” (a sort of revue) and tango shows, are some of the proposals for all ages, all year round. It brims with character and it is an excellent spot for shopping.

Buenos Aires is known for its nightlife. Its restaurants are open well after midnight and it is normal to have dinner after 10 pm. Cafés are crowded till dawn and you can find people dancing in Discos until 6.00 in the morning.
